PROPER FAQ'S
I want to try padel, what do I do?
If you have never tried padel drop our coach, Dan, a WhatsApp (07800 753628) and he can give you the details!
We have hire bats and balls available for free, please just send us a message on WhatsApp in advance of your booking with your court no. and date of booking!
Do you have competitive padel?
Yes, our padel leagues are being ran by Ultimate Padel!
If you would like to join one of our leagues, please join our WhatsApp group by clicking below:
How long does a game take?
A normal session is 1 hour but you may want longer sessions as you get more into padel. You can book 1.5hr or 2hr slots at selected times for a real workout or tough match.
All bookings are done through the MATCHi app.
What equipment do I need to play padel?
You just need a court, rackets and a ball (3 is better) . The good news is that we can provide all three.
Send us a message on WhatsApp in advance of your booking if you want to borrow rackets / balls. Just tell us your court no. and date of booking and we will sort the rest!
What if I'm a bit 'intense', can I still play?
No, we only want pleasant people at our place. If you're not sure whether that's you, here's a checklist of stuff we don't like the sound of:
-
Racket throwers or breakers
-
Hyper-competitive types ("the ball was in...")
-
Really loud (loud clothes are fine but not keen on yelling)
-
Grumpy losers (it's just a game)
We have 24/7 CCTV and will just remove the undesireables from the MATCHi app. Life is short and our centre is all about fun!
Will I see any famous people when I visit?
Well, officially no, but .....
Padel is super popular and particularly amongst the famous types. All that time on their hands and Instgram feeds to fill - it must be tough.
Anyway, whilst we won't be chasing such types, I suspect they will find us as it's a super cool thing to get involved with. Keep you eyes peeled and try not to get 'all silly' if you find yourself in the presence of a celebrity or two :-)
